You might be a redneck if....

You think it's a good idea to make a paintball course in your own backyard! That's what my lovely husband and son did over the Christmas break so they could invite friends over to have a paint balling war.

Here's a picture of Clint and Jeff with their set-up in the garage.... where's all the kids? These two didn't have paintball guns, but were hoping their boys would share. Couple of grown-up children aren't they?

A.J was pretty upset he couldn't play war and get shot. So he had to stand on the sidelines with the dads and pout. :) Only a few more years son, then you can shoot your heart out....

Here's a group of boys heading out to war, notice A.J tagging along behind? A couple of Hunters friends had got guns for Christmas and actually this took place the day after Christmas. Also we had our little cousin Nick in town from AZ and he joined in the redneck fun! Glad to see you, want to get shot now? Can you see the obstacles in the background? Yes, that's a deer too.

There's Jeff, trying to take control of his boy's gun... What I'm wondering is this, why are they shooting around A.J? I thought that was the 'no shooting' zone. Well after a few rounds of war, of course they're going to get hungry. Good thing we had supplies and a warm kitchen so they could come in and talk about their strategies and all that. What do you think happens in a real war without mom's home cooking in between fights?

There's Kirk, another dad but one with his own gun! Clint and Jeff were so jealous :) Well the boys (young and old) had a great time and I'm happy to report everyone made it out alive! The only casualty was the neighbors boat, which he was standing in at the time! Good thing he was a good sport and dodged the bullets, the boys had to go clean up his boat and call a quit to the game. How embarrassing.

Well, if the new neighbors didn't know about us yet~ I'm sure they do now! Everyone had a blast, and Clint organized another war later that week at an indoor place where him and the other dads without guns could rent some and play along. Christmas time brings out the inner child in most everyone, right? Or in our family it brings out the redneck.....
